So, every year, right around the holly, jolly holiday season the entire shred scene descends upon Breckenridge for some early season contest activity. The streets are lined with snow sculptures, twinkly lights and carolers a’ caroling so Gretchen, Kelly and I decided to host a little merry, merry gathering of our own. In our holiday rental built for a king, or for some weekend warrior Texas oil tycoon; we mulled wine, hung decorations, spiked nog, donned matching Christmas sweaters and invited all our favorite peeps from around the world to bake Christmas cookies and celebrate the season. Here’s what ensued….flannels and nog…stu, janks & bow snack it up…
Our little holiday gathering, ended up having a nice global representation…. Japan, Canada, New Zealand, Norway and stories were shared about beachy Christmas mornings, Norwegian Christmas’ hunting elk and our Japanese contingent learned a thing or two about making Christmas cookies.
Japanese duo, Moto and Soko making their first ever Christmas cookies .The gang decorates cookies…naughty & naughtier…A little too much nog and holiday cheer can lead to a few twisted confectionery creations.
Every family has it’s own set of holiday traditions and nuances and hopefully we’ll make this international naughty cookie making fiesta a holiday tradition along with Decembers spent in freezing cold Breckenridge and snowy contest days like today….Happy Holidays!
